JOSEPH J. RUSSO: PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

JOE RUSSO KNOWS PHILADELPHIA

Joe grew up in South Philadelphia where he continues to reside today.    After graduating from LaSalle University, Joe earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Widener University School of Law. He was admitted to the practice of law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey in November 2006.  He has clerked with several Judges throughout the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas gaining experience in the workings of the justice system.

He took on an early interest in helping out the local community serving as a Judge of Elections and Committee Person in the 2nd Ward. He has also been doing work for the Democratic City Committee serving constituents throughout the city for over a decade. He spent over 10 years working at another small law firm specializing in personal injury cases including car accidents, slip and falls, and medical malpractice where he worked tirelessly to earn substantial verdicts for his clients before starting his own firm in 2018.

Joe is a long standing active member of both the Pennsylvania Bar Association and Philadelphia Bar Association. He also serves as a Judge Pro Tempore (JPT) and certified arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas as well as serving as court appointed counsel for Defendants in criminal cases.  For the last two years, he has served as the Chair of the DCC Pro Bono team.

Joe understands the justice system and he understands the people of Philadelphia. That's what he's dedicated his life to and that's what he will bring to the bench. Experience, integrity and common sense.
